Step 1: Save the contact group as a text file
1. Switch to Contacts (People) view in Outlook. Select the contact group you want to export.
2. Click File > Save As.
3. In the Save As dialog box:
- 1). Choose a folder where you want to save the file.
- 2). Enter a name for the exported contact group in the File name field.
- 3). In the Save as type dropdown, select Text Only (.txt).
- 4). Click Save.
Step 2: Open the contact group in Excel
1. Open Microsoft Excel and create a new blank workbook.
2. Click File > Open > Browse.
3. In the Open dialog box:
- 1). Navigate to the folder where you saved the .txt file.
- 2). In the File type dropdown (next to the File name box), select All Files or Text Files.
