Have you ever tried to lookup a specific value in a row or a column, and then sum the matching values together to get the total amount in Excel? Normally, you can apply some formulas for solving this task, but, here, I will introduce an easy – feature, Kutools for Excel’s LOOKUP and Sum, with this utility, you can quickly lookup and sum the first or all matched values in rows or columns without remembering any painful formulas.

Lookup and sum the first or all matching values in a row or multiple rows
To sum the first or all matching values in a row or multiple rows based on the specific criteria, please do with the steps:
1. Click Kutools > Super LOOKUP > LOOKUP and Sum, see screenshot:
2. In the LOOKUP and Sum dialog box, please do the following operations:
- (1.) Select Lookup and sum matched value(s) in row(s) option from the Lookup and Sum Type section;
- (2.) Specify the lookup data, output range and data table as you need in the Select Range section;
- (3.) Select the type of the result from the Options section.
3. Then, click OK, you will get the following results as you need:

Lookup and sum the first or all matching values in a column or multiple columns
To sum the first or all matching values in a column or multiple columns based on the specific criteria, please do as this:
1. Enable this feature by clicking Kutools > Super LOOKUP > LOOKUP and Sum.
2. Then, in the LOOKUP and Sum dialog box, please do the following operations:
- (1.) Select Lookup and sum matched value(s) in column(s) option from the Lookup and Sum Type section;
- (2.) Specify the lookup data, output range and data table as you need in the Select Range section;
- (3.) Select the type of the result from the Options section.
3. Then, click OK, you will get the following results as you need:
